'STAY’ is pure emaar, - a killer melody, hypnotic piano hook, slashing guitars, along with Ellie's soaring harmonies and vocal magic. Lyrics will tug at the heart strings of those in love and out of love. The piano line was laid down simply as a rough melody guide for Ellie, but it was always able to find a space and has now ended up as one of emaar's stronger hooks.

Wanting to embelish the piano sound, guitar was added and before long piano and guitar became one beautiful soundscape. Ellie loved the piece from the very beginning!! Within two hours she had masterfully interpreted the core idea and laid down the vocals!! And here we are !! Enjoy !!

Fade (Digital Download Single + remixes)

A beautiful ballad that sees Ellie in particularly fine voice. Once again another song that chose itself as a release. The Lord Majors Charitable Fund chose the acoustic version as the theme song for this year’s fundraising efforts. “Fade” was featured in the ad campaign on television throughout Victoria. It was decided to put together a package of remixes for release. The original and acoustic versions are included here. The System Twins supply a deep and dark “die for love” remix, while Rob Upward brightened things up with his anthemic and progressive “live for love” remix.

Higher (Central Station) (CD EP release)

“Higher” was emaar’s first commercial release through Central Station Records. It was encouraging for emaar considering that the track was picked up off a demo ep sent to NOVA 100. emaar are prolific writers, and it wasn’t long before there was enough material to warrant the release of the debut album. “Higher” was picked up by radio all over Australia and the club mixes spread the word to places like Germany, Sth.Africa, USA and Belgium. With talent like the German super-producers Hiver&Hammer and our own Andrew Dannaoui providing stirring remixes this package became a must for all those from clubland. “Without You” hit the air waves soon after and together with the beautiful acoustic version of “Higher”, an imposing collection of tracks is on offer here.

The package includes a deep and dreamy remix by the System Twins and Andrew Dannaoui adds a current tek-house feel to his remix. As a bonus, Wonderland, emaar’s club smash of 2001, which was never officially released, has been reinvented as Wonderland 2005. Another package sure to please everyone !!

Love Me Crazy (Digital Download Single + remixes + bonus track)

Love Me Crazy” was the second single and announced to the world that emaar were more than just a dance act. The melodic hook in this song is driven by guitar. The arrangement is more rock/pop than dance/pop. Ellie’s vocals prove that Kylie is not the only female worth listening to in this genre. Rob & Matt use the emaar name for the first time in remixing duties and Andrew Dannaoui again produces another deep house classic. As a bonus, we also included a remix of an emaar newie, “Resist” which was produced by another of Australia’s wonder kids Steve May.

New Day (Digital Download Album)

The latest emaar studio album. The sound encapsulated here is a more diverse one. A more electro sounding collection of songs highlighted by tracks like “Trouble” and “All I Wanna Do”. Ellie’s vocals continue to mesmerise & evolve as she develops into one of this countries premier vocalists. The achingly, haunting “How Long” is a track where Ellie really shines. It is a track that the boys are immensely proud of. The first single “Fade” was heard on TV throughout Victoria spearheading the Lord Majors Charitable Fund advertising campaign. The second single ”Only You”, a cover of the Yazoo classic was received favourably by radio across the country. Sent as a promotional track it was added to play lists by our friends at JOYFM in Melbourne and NOVA in Perth. ”Resist” and “Start Again” engage with the usual melodic strength that signifies all emaar releases and “Shiver” takes off from where the hugely popular “Higher” left off. Only You (Digital Download Single + bonus tracks)

This cover of the classic Yazoo hit of the early 90’s was added to a six-track demo sent out to radio to test the reaction to songs from the second studio album “New Day”. It quickly found it’s fair share of support and was picked up by JOYFM in Melbourne and NOVA in Perth. The song was more retouched than remixed; as the boys were loathe to tamper with what is a beautiful original. This version has been released commercially on JOY FM’s 2005 greatest hits package. Upacci Records have included the previously unreleased “Love Does It’s Thing” and the killer club mix of a lost emaar original called “Sexlolloy”.

Paradise (Digital Download Album)

This was the beginning of the adventure!! All the songs on this album were written in the 12 months between August’02 and ’03, when Rob and Matteo first decided to write some more pop orientated material, distinct from the club mixes for which they had become known. The very first track released, “Was a Time” and the subsequent club mixes made it to every major dance party during the summer of ’02. The commercially released single “Higher” (through Central Station Records 03) was the next release. It is still being played by radio today….. 3 years after it was first released!! This was soon followed by “Without You”, which was also picked up by radio and to this day remains a personal emaar favourite. “Angel” is a rousing euro flavoured dance anthem and the ballad “Gift” sees Rob provide lead vocal. “Paradise” provides a gritty combination of guitar and keys, which drive lyrics that act as a call to arms. This album features 10 tracks from the early days when the emaar sound was still evolving. We hope you enjoy the journey back to where it all began!!
